2009 is seeing more affairs and link-ups in B-Town than break-ups. People have started bringing their relationships into the open.
While Koena did it with her Turkish boyfriend Mett, last week Jugal Hansraj brought his Italian girlfriend to Karan Johar's party at a Bandra hotel. Jugal hadn't been dating anyone special prior to that.
Says a source, "Jugal has been dating her for a year. She's working in Mumbai and they met up through close friends at a party. Jugal appears to be quite serious about her.
Though he's currently working on his next directorial a romcom Pyar Impossible, produced by Yash Raj Films and starring Uday Chopra and Priyanka Chopra, he makes sure he spends time with his girlfriend too.
Karan's party was the first event where he went public. Jugal loves her and since he was going to a close friend's party, he felt he had nothing to hide."
Jugal Hansraj says, "Yes I am dating someone but I wouldn't like to reveal the details. It's very personal." The buzz is that he's planning to get married soon? "Not at all.
I will get married when I grow up when I turn 18!" he jokes. On a serious note, Jugal adds, "Currently I am finalising the details of Pyar Impossible which should roll in a couple of months.
I want to focus on my film. Marriage or any kind of serious emotional commitment is out of the question for a year."
Apart from Jugal's blossoming love life he's also happy that his animated film Roadside Romeo won the FICCI and Screen Best Animated Film awards this year.
He informs us, "A sequence and the song Choo Le Naa from Roadside Romeo were nominated for the Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards for Best Animated Sequence in Los Angeles a day before the Oscars.
I was very proud and thrilled. The collections of RR were better than any of the Hollywood animated flicks released in India."
