With a naked photoshoot coming up Indian model Padma Lakshmi could have been forgiven for putting herself on a strict diet.But the 38-year-old, who is author Salman Rushdie's ex, had no such concerns.'I think I look better when I have a little bit of weight on - my breasts are fuller, and I’m curvier than when I’m at my thinnest,' she tells this month's edition of U.S. magazine Allure.

Padma was one of five models to strip for the shoot, which was entitled The Naked Truth.She said she didn't feel worried about stripping off, and just 'exercised an extra bit,' in preparation.'I tend to sleep in the nude,' she revealed. 'When I'm in my own personal space, I do spend time with very little on.'I didn’t feel any more naked without my robe. I don’t have any stigma attached to my body.'

Padma's shoot revealed a seven-inch scar on her right arm - the vestige of a car accident when she was 14.'This is my favourite part of my body,' she said. 'I love it because it makes me a person who has an interesting past, and it reminds me that I can survive any pain.'While Padma is stripping for her art, her ex-husband recently went public with his new love, American actress Pia Glenn.

What in God’s name is happening with Vogue’s November cover?!? This is one of the most hellish, budget, ugly messes I’ve ever seen. The cover story is all about the women of Nine, which will likely be one of the biggest movies of the awards season. Nine stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Stacey “Fergie” Ferguson, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz and Sophia Loren, amongst others. For such a major film, it’s no surprise Vogue decided to put some of the more prominent leading ladies on the cover. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way that Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson were all at the same location at the same time for the cover shoot.
It looks like they just cut-and-pasted Nicole Kidman on the end, and what’s with the totally weird lighting on every single woman? Marion looks like she has a spotlight on her, while Penelope looks half-shadowed. Meanwhile, Kate looks like she smelled something. Yikes. Ten bucks says this shot is by Annie Leibovitz, and twenty says she is not happy with it. Plus, Nine takes place in Rome – why not do a fashion shoot in Rome? Why do these women have to be looking pissy at the beach?
Anyway, Vogue hasn’t put up the cover story online yet, but they do have an interesting feature – nine great looks from each of the cover ladies. I tend to think that would have been a better cover – just put older images from these ladies, and jam them together on the cover. Or, better yet, just put the immortal Daniel Day-Lewis on the cover and call it a day. Out of the whole cast, I’d say Daniel has the best shot at winning an Oscar for Nine. Sigh. And now I’m looking forward to Daniel’s press.

Reality show celebrity Kim Kardashian graces the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s November 2009 issue and as always looks positively gorgeous. Labeled the “Bad Girl Issue”, it hits newsstands on October 13.
The 28-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star indicates that her middle name is “ambitious”.  That being said, she is working hard right now to find balance between her work and the man in her life, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush.
The actress admits it is a work in progress and she hasn’t ironed out all of the kinks but last word is that Bush has agreed to try again after a breakup in July.  K.K. jetted off to be with her man late Sunday night, following the wedding of her sister Khloe Kardashian – see wedding photos here.
The family got some bad press earlier in the week when it was reported that the Lamar Odom nuptials were a non-binding sham extravaganza scripted by E! network to be aired on November 8, 2009 on the family’s reality show.  Kim Kardashian responded to those allegations on her blog, indicating that the wedding was real and the newlyweds are very happy.
