Honeymoon Our First Night
Today marks 10 months that I've been a married woman. In just two short months, we'll celebrate our one year anniversary. Hardly seems possible.
The Hubby and I were talking today about staying at our "honeymoon" hotel up north for a couple of days before heading up for the family camping trip. We started talking about our honeymoon, and our wedding night, and ended up laughing hysterically. I love the memories we have =]
Flashback to April 26, 2008:
After our reception was over, we drove to his mom's house, where we'd be dropping off the dress & tux, picking up our luggage, and heading to a hotel for the night. We sat on the couch and just breathed. The day had been such a whirlwind, it felt good to just sit and relax. I said something about my head killing me, and he started to pull the bobby pins out of my hair. We started giggling, and eventually his family walked in the door to find us in tears, because we'd been laughing so hard. I don't know why it was so funny, but it was. I had 167 bobby pins in my hair. Yeah, I had TONS of hair =P
We soon left for our hotel here in town (our honeymoon destination was 5 hours away...way too tired to drive that far!). We stopped off at Wendy's to get food. Yeah, we didn't eat a THING at our reception. Figures. We got to our hotel, said we had a reservation under "mr & mrs." followed by giddy giggling, and the desk attendant wished on congratulations and sent us on our way. Our room was on the very top floor and we had a great view...of the community college. Whatever. We walked into our room, and found two DOUBLE beds! I'd specifically requested one king. oh.my.gosh. He and I looked at each other and just said "whatever!" we ate our greasy food, climbed into seperate beds, and passed out! Needless to say, we should have just stayed at home =P
The rest of our honeymoon was pretty uneventful. Except for the gay drunk indian that found out we were newlyweds. "You just got married!! OMG SHUT UP!! That's SO nucking-futs!" *direct quote* Oh, and that we won $330 on penny slots. We fairly RAN back to our hotel room LOL!
Our honeymoon was perfect for us. We spent an entire day on the lake fishing. Complete bliss. I gave him water and he put worms on my hook. Its true love =P
What're you ladies looking forward to most about your honeymoon?
