A man hurled the shoe to the PM Manmohan Singh during an election rally in Ahmedabad city. But luck of the PM is grate because Shoe missed Dr. Singh at least 20-feet from the PM. The person was immediately taken to custody. The security personnel are questioning him for why he attack on PM Manmohan Singh and and for what. It is the beginning of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, after P Chidambaram, Naveen Jindal and LK Advani.The suspect was identified as a 28-year-old computer engineering student from Bapunagar in Ahmedabad.
According to sources, the man was sitting on the first row and tried to throw the shoe to the PM. The shoe does not meet the Manmohan Singhand the miscreant was overpowered by security personnel. A young techie tried to throw shoes at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at an election rally on Sunday afternoon, but the white Sneaker missed him by several feet. The prime minister later asked the police not to press charges against the man.
Former Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Congress MP Naveen Jindal and the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate LK Advani had to face similar events. This is the fourth time the shoes have been hurled at political leaders in the last month.
Even as the BJP has condemned the incident, Congress leader Veerappa Moily has accused Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and the BJP for this shoe attack on the Prime Minister. He has also demanded an apology from Narendra Modi, when this unfortunate incident happened in his state. Police said Chauhan was sitting on the press gallery in the first row. He was whisked away by police for questioning, a senior crime branch official said. The prime minister has told the police not to press charges against the young man, it was learned.
