Rajniti movie which is schedule to release in 2009 a Bollywood film about Political Drama. Rajniti is a forthcoming Hindi language film to be directed by Prakash Jha. The political thriller stars Ajay Devgan Nana Patekar Ranbir Kapoor Katrina Kaif and Arjun Rampal in leading roles. Rajniti is a modern-day adaptation of the Mahabharata so it may play on the Gandhi bahu (Sona vs Maneka) saga. The shooting of the film is started from early 2009. Vivek Oberoi was to play one of the leads in this modern-day Mahabharat but he opted out and has been replaced by Arjun Rampal. It's going to be excitement to watch Katrina Kaif in Prakash Jha's Rajniti. According to sources Katrina's role in this movie has been inspired by Sonia Gandhi while Ranbir Kapoor's role seems to be inspired by Rajiv Gandhi. According to sources Ajay Devgan will play a character based on Karn and Nana Patekar that of Krishna. The movie is loosely based on the Gandhi family and hence Arjun Rampal’s character is inspired by Sanjay Gandhi and Priyanka Chopra’s character from that of Maneka Gandhi.
