Windows XP supports hibernation; you can hibernate your computer before you leave in the evening, and the next morning press the power on and state of all the application running when you shut it down will be restored. This is a highly underused feature of Windows XP and can help each one of us save a lot of electrical energy. So if you are leaving in a hurry, use this option and rush to your shuttle.

Given below are the steps to configure a Hibernate option for WINDOWS XP users.

1) Right click on any empty area in your desktop and click New -> Shortcut

2) Paste the following into the text box and click on Next.

rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState

3) Give a suitable name for this shortcut and click Finish.



4) Now you would like to change the icon for this shortcut to be more appropriate.

5) Right click the shortcut -> Properties



6) Now click on Change Icon button and click on Browse. You will be taken to the C:\sysroot\System32 folder.

7) Select the file powrprof.dll as shown



8) You will see an alert as shown below. Click OK.



9) Now you will see a list of icons displayed. Select the power icon or any other icon of your choice as shown.



10) Now you will see the shortcut on your desktop.

All you need to do is that, just double-click this icon before leaving for the day and don’t forget to switch off your monitor. The next day you switch ON your pc, all your work will be restored. Please circulate to spread the awareness. Like we see on the Tesco logo, Every Little Helps!

Submitting the Sitemaps of your blog to Google Webmaster helps the search engine(Google) to crawl your webpages easily and more quickly! This post explains the procedure to add your blogger blog's sitemap to the Google Webmaster Tools.

1. Sign-in to Google Webmaster Dashboard using your Google Account.



2. Type your blog URL and click Add Site:
   
   



3. Once your site is added to Google Webmaster, you need to verify the site by adding a Meta Tag to your blog:
   
   



4. Copy the Meta Tag code given by Google Webmaster as shown in the screenshot below:
   
   



5. Now go to Blogger Dashboard - Layout - Edit HTML - then search(Ctrl+F) for the code given below in the header section:

6. Then Paste the Meta Tag just after the above code and Save the Template.



7. Now click Verify in the Google Webmaster Tools. Your site will be verified if you followed the above steps clearly:
   
   



8. Next step is to add sitemaps of your blog. Select Sitemap from the left sidebar:
   
   



9. You can add the following sitemaps of your blogger blog to the Google Webmaster:

Multiple Inbox View in Gmail | New Gmail Labs Item Multiple Inbox in Single Screen View

Gmail have added a new labs feature that would enable you to view multiple inbox as soon you log into your Gmail account. This feature could be used to show multiple inbox if you categorize your mails according to drafts, starred, labels, etc.

As an example to use this new feature, lets consider, I have filtered all my e-bills that will be treated specially as soon they reaches my inbox. They are filtered in a manner that will skip from my inbox and will be labeled as ‘BILLS’ automatically. In this case I can create another inbox apart from my primary inbox that will display all the mails under category ‘BILLS’. In the same manner you can also create inbox for your drafts, starred items, or any other labels.

Here is how this lab feature will look once activated



You can try it out yourself by enabling Multiple Inboxes feature inside ‘Labs’ tab. Once activated, you will need to customize multiple inboxes by clicking Settings-> Multiple Inboxes. Though I am yet to explore this feature a lot, but as of now I found that, this feature is clashing with other Labs feature like right side chat
and labels, etc. Hope, they will be improved too, with the passage of time. :-)
